ON BEHALF OF MYSELF, MY FAMILY, AND STAFF, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR OUR FIRST 20 YEARS OF BUSINESS, FUN, AND FRIENDSHIP.

For anyone not aware, Foxfire is a family owned and operated business.  Foxfire was purchased November 1, 1986 by Doris & Frank Simril, of Charlotte.  Frank had been in the bowling business for over twenty years at the time.  The majority of that time working for Brunswick Corporation as a manager, and district manager.  At one time he took the lowest earning district in the company to the top earner in under two years.  In the mid eighties they decided that they wanted to strike out on their own.  After a little searching they found that A & J Lanes in Kannapolis was for sale.  The area was nice, the price was right, so they morgaged their home, and went into business.  Their son Dan was working as chief Mechanic at Masters Lanes in Augusta GA, and came onboard on day one.  The center is now owned by Dan, and his sister Carla, of Columbia SC.  Day to day center operations are managed by Dan.  Carla normally does not work in-house, although does she takes care of the web site, and is responsible for many of the more artistic changes that Foxfire has undergone in recent years. Our success is due in no small way to our great staff: Some of our key staff members include Marilyn Miller; day manager (12 years), Steve Rogers; night manager (12 years), Pam Marcum; Snackbar Manager (7 years), Aaron Simril; mechanic (4 years).  We also have many dedicated part time staff like Candy Phillips; counter person who has been with us for 8 years. Although we have been around longer than many entertainment venues, we like to think we have kept up with the times.  Some of the technological upgrades that the we have made over the years include Synthetic Lanes, and Brunswick Pinsetters.  Most recently the center replaced the automatic scoring system with a state of the art $200,000 integrated scoring, and pneumatic bumper system. As we move forward we plan to continue to offer a variety of offerings for both the competitive, and casual bowlers.  We hope you continue your patronage, and friendship.
